The Mill-Rose 70196 thread seal tape is a general-purpose PTFE tape designed for sealing threaded joints in a variety of plumbing, air, and hydraulic systems. With a width of 3/4 inch and a total length of 520 inches, this tape provides reliable thread engagement coverage for pipe sizes commonly used in residential and light commercial applications.

Manufactured from 100% virgin PTFE, this non-hardening, non-toxic tape forms a chemically inert seal that resists deformation under high pressure and temperature fluctuations. Its low coefficient of friction also allows threaded components to be assembled more easily and disassembled without damage.

Installation Recommendations

Usage Considerations

Mill-Rose 70196 is intended for use on tapered metal pipe threads in pressurized fluid and gas systems. It is not suitable for oxygen service, liquefied gases, or systems where PTFE incompatibility is noted by the equipment manufacturer. For fuel gas systems, use UL-listed tape specifically marked for that purpose.
