Application Suitability

Installation Considerations

Installation should follow standard pipefitting procedures. Use appropriate thread sealant (PTFE tape or pipe dope) to ensure a leak-resistant joint. Hand tighten and then apply an additional 1–2 turns with a pipe wrench—do not over-torque, as this can distort threads and compromise sealing integrity.

Note:

Galvanized fittings should not be used in systems with acidic or high-chloride content water, as corrosion of the zinc layer may occur over time.
