The Fernco QC-102 Qwik Cap is a flexible termination cap designed for sealing open 2-inch pipe ends in non-pressurized drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. Manufactured from elastomeric polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and equipped with a stainless steel worm-drive clamp, this fitting provides a mechanical seal that accommodates copper, cast iron, PVC, and steel pipe materials.

Compliant with ASTM C1173 and CSA B602 standards, the QC-102 is suitable for permanent or temporary capping of unused pipe stubs or cleanouts. It is ideal for both new construction and repair work, and can be removed and reused for future access or testing. The flexible PVC body conforms to slight irregularities in pipe OD, allowing for quick and effective sealing across a variety of pipe surfaces.

Installation Guidelines

Apply the cap over a clean, round, and properly deburred pipe end. Tighten the stainless steel clamp uniformly using a screwdriver or calibrated torque wrench to the manufacturer’s recommended torque (60 in-lbs). This fitting is not suitable for pressurized systems. Use only in gravity-flow DWV applications unless otherwise rated.
