The 1-1/4 inch PVC Schedule 40 cap is a solvent weld fitting used to close the end of a piping run in both pressure and non-pressure systems. Manufactured from rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and designed for compatibility with Schedule 40 PVC pipe, this fitting is commonly used in water distribution, irrigation, and DWV (Drain-Waste-Vent) systems. Its socket end allows for permanent bonding using approved PVC solvent cement.
